I am new to painting, and found this class inspiring and highly accessible. Kathleen is so encouraging, and being able to communicate and share photos throughout was terrific!

I own and love all of Kathleen Rietz's courses and this latest Glimmering Gardens course is no exception. She has changed a few things in the way she filmed the class which really helps. For example I love seeing how she mixes colors on the palette. Very helpful! She also included a more indepth section on composition which is extremely helpful. I look forward to many more classes by her and highly recommend them all.

This course was fantastic. Even though I have finished it I keep returning to it. I learned so much about color mixing and composition especially in abstracts. I haven't found another course that teaches composition for abstracts and Kathleen has done it so well. I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to take their abstract paintings to another level.

This is the second class of Kathleen’s that I have completed. I am relatively new to acrylic painting and have never used a wedge before. Kathleen explains and shows you step by step how she achieves her signature style. Once complete, you can post your work to her Facebook group for help and constructive critique. I just want to keep painting peonies!!! The added wedge bonus video is very helpful. It takes lots of practice and I have to admit, I did pick up my brushes a few times…. Super fun class!!! This class teaches techniques and is not meant to show you how to duplicate Kathleen’s work. I love to see how everyone’s paintings turn out. They are all so different!!

Peonies are some of my favorite flowers, so when I saw this course by Kathleen Rietz I jumped on it. At first I thought painting peonies was beyond me, but Kathleen's teaching style breaks out down into manageable bites and doesn't overwhelm. I highly recommend this course.

I loved this quality course. Everything is very well explained. I'm French and I don't speak English fluently, but that's not a problem because we understand everything. I recommend this course which is accessible for all levels

Kathleen is a great instructor and teacher and she details every step to get you to paint a rose right from the beginning which includs how to sketch a rose and from various references. I love her demos on this as most classes don't cover this part which is an important element in the whole painting process. I love the way she demos from laying the rose down on canvas to making it loose and bold. Most highly recommended !
